Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 15, 2026
This policy lists the cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) used on SavingsNote. It supplements our Privacy Policy. You can change your choices at any time on Your Privacy Choices.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you click "Accept". Until
then, Google's tags may send cookieless pings (no cookies or identifiers), as permitted by
Google Consent Mode.
Everywhere else: they're on by default, and you can switch them off. A Global Privacy Control
signal switches off advertising cookies automatically.
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the Site to work and to remember your privacy choices. They can't be switched off.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type & duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sn_consent | SavingsNote | Remembers your analytics and advertising choices | Local storage, until you change it or clear site data |
sn_attr | SavingsNote | Keeps the ad click ID and campaign tags from the link you arrived on, so store links from this visit are attributed correctly | Session storage, deleted when you close the tab |
sn_geo | SavingsNote | Remembers whether a cookie banner applies in your country, to avoid checking on every page | Session storage, deleted when you close the tab |
__cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Bot and abuse protection (only set if Cloudflare's security checks are triggered) | Cookie, 30 minutes to 1 year |

These help us understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve it.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps session state | 2 years |
We may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across sites.
Advertising
We advertise on Google and Bing. These cookies tell us whether our ads lead to visits and purchases, which helps us decide what to advertise. The ad platforms may also use them for their own purposes, including ad personalization.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures ad conversions | 90 days |
_gcl_aw, _gcl_gb | Google Ads | Stores the ad click ID for conversion measurement | 90 days |
_uetsid | Microsoft Advertising | Measures ad conversions in the current session | 1 day |
_uetvid | Microsoft Advertising | Recognizes returning visitors for conversion measurement | 13 months |
MUID | Microsoft (bing.com) | Identifies browsers across Microsoft sites | 13 months |
Google and Microsoft may also set cookies on their own domains (such as google.com, doubleclick.net and bing.com). See Google's cookie policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Store and affiliate network cookies
When you click a link to a store, you leave SavingsNote. The store or its affiliate network (for example Impact, CJ, Rakuten Advertising, Awin or Partnerize) may set a cookie on its own website so it can credit us if you buy something. These cookies typically last 1 to 90 days. They are controlled by those companies, not by us, and your choices on SavingsNote don't affect them. Use your browser settings or the store's own cookie tools to manage them.
Managing cookies
- Change your choices on SavingsNote at any time on Your Privacy Choices.
- Delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies won't stop coupons from working.
- Opt out of personalized ads from Google at adssettings.google.com and from Microsoft at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings.
